Beadle Bops 4-H Club members and leaders, along with Dianne Gropper of Huron Area Masters Gardeners and Jim Gropper, 4-H advocate, met recently at the Nordby 4-H Building on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds.

The crew came prepared with hoes, rakes, clippers, snippers, buckets, garbage bags, and gloves to weed flower gardens, remove trash around trees, and clean yards. Members then enjoyed an evening of State Fair carnival rides.

Beadle Bops 4-H Club has the honored distinction of being the oldest 4-H Club in the county, founded in 1956, and celebrates 66 years providing leadership opportunities for youth.

Club interests include photography, dogs, poultry, visual arts, geology, horticulture, home environment, and community service.
